Indian-American elected as chair of Congressional Progressive Caucus

Indian-American Congresswoman, Pramila Jayapal, has been elected as the chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) for the 117th Congress. The caucus is going to "promote racial justice", "take on poverty and inequality" and help transform America, Jayapal said after getting elected. Earlier this year, she was re-elected to the US House of Representatives for her third consecutive term.
