Indian-American Seema Nanda confirmed as Solicitor for US Labor Dept

The US Senate has confirmed Indian-American civil rights lawyer Seema Nanda as the Solicitor for the Department of Labor with 53-46 votes. She had earlier served in Barack Obama's administration as Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Deputy Solicitor at the Department of Labor. She is currently a fellow at Harvard Law School's Labor and Worklife Program.
