Indian-origin engineer's pic wins National Geographic's 'Picture of the Year' contest

A photograph titled 'Dance of the Eagles' by Indian-origin software engineer Karthik Subramaniam, who is based in the US' San Francisco, has won National Geographic's 'Picture of the Year' contest. The picture is of bald eagles at Alaska's Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. "Hours of observing their patterns and behaviour helped me capture moments like these," Subramaniam said.
