Indian-origin judge appointed to S Africa's highest judicial bench
South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that Indian-origin Narandran 'Jody' Kollapen has been appointed to the highest judicial bench in South Africa, the Constitution Court. The 64-year-old was chosen alongside Rammaka Mathopo after a lengthy process of public interviews. "Judges Kollapen and Mathopo have illustrious careers in the legal profession and the Judiciary," Ramaphosa said.
