Indian-origin lab owner jailed for 27 yrs for $463 mn genetic testing scam in US

An Indian-origin laboratory owner from the US has been jailed for 27 years for his involvement in a $463 million genetic testing scam to defraud US-based health insurance program Medicare. LabSolutions LLC owner Minal Patel allegedly submitted genetic and other laboratory tests that patients didn't need. The 44-year-old targeted Medicare beneficiaries with telemarketing calls.
