Indian-origin Leo Varadkar resigns as Ireland's PM

Indian-origin Leo Varadkar resigned as Ireland's Prime Minister on Wednesday. His departure as head of the three-party coalition will not automatically trigger a general election. In 2017, Varadkar became the first gay prime minister of the country and the youngest person to hold the office.
