Indian-origin woman pleads guilty to assaulting, starving house help to death in S'pore

A 64-year-old Indian-origin woman named Prema S Naraynasamy has pleaded guilty to 48 charges of voluntarily causing hurt to her daughter's house helper Piang Ngaih Don. The 24-year-old Myanmarese victim was allegedly kicked, punched, slapped and starved by Prema, resulting in her death. CCTV footage reportedly showed Piang being abused till she died in July 2016.
