Indians become most deported nationality from Canada in 2026

Canada deported 1,712 Indians from January to March in 2026, making them the most deported nationality this year so far, the Border Services Agency said. Mexicans, who were the most deported nationality from 2021-2025, accounted for 743 deportations in 2026. Indians topped Canada's deportations list in 2020, with 1,424 deportations and were the second-highest deported nationality from 2021-2026.
