Indians lose ₹109 crore to Schengen visa rejections in 2023

Indians lost an estimated ₹109 crore (€12.1 million) in 2023 in visa fees after their Schengen visa applications were rejected, a report in Condé Nast Traveller said. Indians were also among the top five nationalities with the highest number of rejected Schengen visa applications last year. As many as 151,752 out of 966,687 visa requests filed in India were rejected.
