Indians lost ₹136 crore on failed Schengen visa applications in 2024: Report
India has emerged as the third-highest contributor to financial losses from rejected Schengen visa applications in 2024, with ₹136 crore lost in non-refundable fees, said a report. Rejection rate stands at 15%, as per data from European Commission. The other 2 countries are Algeria and Turkey. Most of the visas were rejected by France, followed by Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Netherlands.
