Indians refuse to bend under Trump tariffs, ship lesser products instead of cutting prices

German think tank Kiel Institute's study found that Indian exporters refused to bend under pressure put on by Donald Trump's 50% tariffs on Indian goods. "Both export value and volume to the US dropped sharply, by up to 24%. But unit prices- the prices Indian exporters charged- remain unchanged," the study said. Indian exporters "shipped less, not cheaper", it added.
