Indian professionals applying for a US Green Card today under the EB-2 category could face a waiting period of up to 179 years, according to a report by the National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP). Indians may face a 38-year waiting period for the EB-3 category and up to 5 years for EB-1 category. EB-2 covers professionals with advanced degrees.
