India's 1st citizen not invited to Parliament inauguration: Kharge

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticised the Centre for not inviting President Droupadi Murmu for the inauguration of the new Parliament building. He accused the BJP government of repeatedly disrespecting "constitutional propriety" and said the President's office has been reduced to "tokenism". He added, "She alone represents government, Opposition...She is the first citizen of India."
