India's 1st woman Air Marshal Padma Bandopadhyay given Padma Shri

India's first woman Air Marshal Dr Padma Bandopadhyay on Monday was awarded the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award, in the field of medicine by President Ram Nath Kovind at New Delhi's Rashtrapati Bhavan. Bandopadhyay continues to serve the public as a civilian now. PM Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are among the award ceremony's attendees.
