India's active COVID-19 cases cross 50,000, 27 deaths recorded

Active coronavirus cases in India have reached 53,720 as 10,753 cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The coronavirus death toll has risen to 5,31,091 after 27 deaths were recorded, the data showed. The number of people who've recovered stands at 4,42,23,211, the data also showed.
