India's first indigenous cervical cancer vaccine launched by SII
On the occasion of National Girl Child Day and Cervical Cancer Awareness month, the Serum Institute of India's CEO Adar Poonawalla and Home Minister Amit Shah launched CERVAVAC, a cervical cancer vaccine. CERVAVAC is India's first indigenously developed quadrivalent human papillomavirus (qHPV) vaccine. It has shown a strong antibody response against all targeted HPV types across all age groups.
