India's first steel slag road inaugurated in Surat, pics surface

Union Minister of Steel, Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, on Wednesday inaugurated a six-lane one-km highway made of steel slag in Gujarat's Surat. It is India's first road built by using steel slag. "The road constructed by 100% use of steel processed slag is a real example of converting waste into wealth and improving sustainability of steel plants," the minister said.
