India's largest news agency PTI moves Delhi HC against Centre's new IT rules

India's largest news agency Press Trust of India (PTI) has challenged the constitutional validity of Centre's new IT Rules, 2021 in Delhi High Court. PTI alleged the rules would only aid in targeting the publishers of news and current affairs content and usher in an "era of surveillance and fear" resulting in self-censorship. The court issued a notice to Centre.
