India's Manika beats world no. 7 Xingtong in ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup 1st round

Indian table tennis player Manika Batra defeated world number seven Chen Xingtong 4-3 (8-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-6, 9-11, 8-11, 11-9) in women's singles first round of ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup in Bangkok on Thursday. In men's singles first round, Sathiyan Gnanasekaran and Sharath Kamal lost 3-4 and 1-4 respectively. World number 44 Manika will face Chinese Taipei's Chen Szu-Yu in quarter-final.
