India's number 7, 8, 9 score 50-plus for the 1st time ever

Indian spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav set a new batting record in the Mohali Test. It was for the first time in India's 84-year Test cricket history that players batting at 7, 8 and 9 scored 50 or more in the same innings. Ashwin scored 72(113) while Jadeja and Yadav made 90(170) and 55(141) respectively.
