India's passenger vehicle sales fall for 9th month by 30.9% in July

Sale of passenger vehicles to car dealers fell for the ninth-month in July by 30.9% to 2,00,790, a report by Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers said on Tuesday. Passenger car sales fell 36% to 1,22,956 units, while commercial vehicle sales fell 25.7% to 56,866 units. This comes amid fall in demand for consumer goods, causing job cuts and production halts.
