India's trade deficit widens to $13.7 billion in April
India's trade deficit widened to $13.72 billion in April compared to $13.25 billion in April 2017, government data showed on Tuesday. Imports for the month of April stood at $39.6 billion, up 4.6% year-on-year whereas exports stood at $25.9 billion rising 5.17%. The trade deficit for fiscal 2017-18 grew to $156.8 billion from $105.72 billion in the previous year.
