Indigenous stealth frigate INS Mahendragiri to be commissioned on July 11

The Indian Navy is set to commission its sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate, INS Mahendragiri, at Visakhapatnam on July 11. The warship, sixth vessel of Nilgiri-class under Project 17A, will be inducted at a ceremony in presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. It is equipped with weapons and sensors designed to tackle threats in air, on surface and underwater.
