IndiGo pilots declare 'Mayday' after false smoke warning in Delhi-Kolkata flight

The pilots of a Delhi-Kolkata IndiGo flight on Sunday declared 'Mayday' (the international radio distress signal used by ships and aircraft) following a smoke warning that turned out to be fake, officials said. Pilots of flight 6E-2513 asked Kolkata ATC for a priority landing after a warning of smoke in the cargo area. The flight was safely landed.
