The Office of the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab slapped a ₹13,28,255 penalty on IndiGo in relation to Goods and Services Tax (GST) pertaining to financial year 2021-22. In a regulatory filing, InterGlobe Aviation, the parent of IndiGo, said it would be contesting the ruling and believe it has strong case on merits.
