IndiGo to pay ₹1.19 lakh to passengers for losing bag with sacred items

A J&K district consumer commission ordered IndiGo to pay ₹1.19 lakh to two passengers for losing their bag on the journey from Saudi Arabia to Srinagar after performing Umrah. They were part of a group whose luggage was clubbed together and tagged improperly. Compensation covers ₹89,000 for lost belongings, including sacred items, ₹20,000 for distress, and ₹10,000 for legal expenses.
