Indonesia confirms first monkeypox case in foreign returnee

Indonesia reported its first confirmed case of monkeypox in a 27-year-old male on Saturday. The Indonesian national tested positive in capital Jakarta late on Friday, a health ministry spokesperson said. According to the ministry, the man had returned from an unidentified country with documented cases. The patient is doing "well" and showing only mild symptoms, the ministry added.
