Indonesia rejects Apple's $100 million investment offer
Indonesia rejected Apple's $100 million investment proposal aimed at lifting a ban on iPhone 16 sales. "We've done an assessment and this (proposal) has not met principles of fairness," Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita stated, comparing it to Apple's bigger investments in Vietnam and Thailand. The ministry would invite Apple to visit Indonesia to negotiate further, Agus said.
