Industrial production drops to 6-month low of 2.9% in Feb: Data

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew at its slowest rate in six months of 2.9% in February 2025 from 5.2% in January, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation data said. Mining sector growth slowed to 1.6% in February 2025 against 8.1% in the YoY period. Data further revealed that electricity production declined to 3.6% in February from 7.6% YoY.
