Infantino sought Trump's help amid backlash over WC stake sale plan, report says; US denies

FIFA President Gianni Infantino sought help from the Donald Trump administration amid backlash over his plans to sell minority stakes in a $20 billion subsidiary that would run World Cup, New York Post reported. It added Infantino scheduled private talks with US State Secretary Marco Rubio on Monday. However, US government denied the report, saying no meeting had been scheduled.
