Inflation in China hits 3-year high, days after govt signalled economic slowdown

China's retail inflation jumped 1.3% YoY to its highest level in three years, National Bureau of Statistics data showed. This is the fifth straight month of rising inflation and comes days after Chinese government signalled a possible economic slowdown. The latest inflation data is also the highest in 37 months as a nine-day Lunar New Year holiday boosted domestic travel.
