Infosys defers freshers' test amid backlash over trainee firings

Infosys has postponed internal assessments for trainees by a week amid backlash over its firing of over 300 freshers who failed the evaluation tests. IT employee union NITES said the assessments for around 800 trainees were postponed after its intervention and government action. However, Infosys said tests have been delayed to give its trainees additional preparation time.
