Ingrown nail leads to gangrene, amputation in US woman

An American woman was left fighting for her life and had to have her toe amputated after an ingrown toenail turned gangrenous. 42-year-old Lacey Shadrick always dealt with ingrown toenails, but one time it turned into a blister, which almost took her life. Since she was a diabetic, Lacey had to get her big toe amputated because of gangrene.
