Injured Nadal withdraws from Indian Wells ahead of Federer semi

World number two Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the Indian Wells Masters due to a knee injury ahead of his scheduled semi-final match against world number four Roger Federer on Saturday. It would have been the 39th career meeting between the duo. Federer has advanced to the final in pursuit of a record sixth Indian Wells title.
