Prison officials in US' Tennessee aborted the execution of 57-year-old inmate Tony Carruthers after failing to find a suitable vein for a lethal injection for over 90 minutes on Thursday. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee later granted Carruthers a one-year reprieve. He was sentenced to death after being convicted of kidnapping and murdering three people in 1994.
