India's first indigenously built and designed warship INS Godavari which was first commissioned in 1983 will reportedly be decommissioned on Wednesday. INS Godavari was part of many missions like the 1988 coup in Maldives and was also part of UN deployment at Somalia in 1994. Notably, INS Godavari was among the first warships that could carry two Sea King helicopters.
