Inspired from 'Jhumka Gira Re' song, Bareilly installs 200-kg 'jhumka'

Inspired from a 1966 song 'Jhumka Gira Re', Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly has installed a custom-made 'jhumka', weighing over almost 200 kilograms and suspended from a 20-feet-high pole. An official said that after Bareilly got its branding from the song, they thought of capitalising on it. Initially conceived in 1990, the project hit a roadblock due to the lack of funds.
