Instagram may limit reach of AI influencers that don’t disclose AI profiles

Instagram is introducing an "AI-generated profile" label for accounts featuring AI-created personas, replacing its broader "AI creator" tag. This is to help users distinguish AI influencers from real people. Accounts that fail to disclose AI-generated personas may have limited reach. Creators who feel they have been wrongfully penalised can appeal through Instagram's Account Status dashboard.
