Instagram seeks shutdown of third-party stalking app 'Like Patrol'

Facebook-owned Instagram has sent a cease-and-desist letter to the developers of 'Like Patrol', an iOS app letting users see who their target interacts with on Instagram, alongside analytics of the other person. The company told CNET that scraping information violates its policies. Instagram recently discontinued the 'Following' tab which similarly let users see the activity of people they follow.
