Instagram tests Snapchat-like disappearing text messages

Instagram is developing a Snapchat-style disappearing text message feature. The feature was spotted by reverse engineering specialist Jane Manchun Wong, who found the code in Instagram's app, labelled with "speak no evil" emoji. With the feature, users can enter a dark disappearing message mode within a chat. When users close this mode, the messages sent within the mode automatically vanish.
