Instagram to let users choose to hide 'likes' in global test

Instagram has announced a small global test which will let users choose whether to hide or show "like" counts on their own and other people's posts. This comes after Instagram ran experiments in which it removed "likes" for a small group of users. Last month, Instagram accidentally hid "likes" for a large number of users for a brief period.
