INTACH maps Punjab villages linked to World War soldiers

INTACH Punjab has launched a project to map villages linked to soldiers who fought in the World Wars. Speaking at a festival in Ferozepur, Maj Gen Balwinder Singh stressed preserving Punjab’s military legacy. The initiative also proposes restoring heritage sites and building village-level memorials to honour sacrifice, educate future generations, and promote community engagement.
