Intel acquires AI startup Habana Labs for $2 billion

Intel has acquired Israel-based artificial intelligence firm Habana Labs for about $2 billion in a bid to enhance AI offerings to data centres and increase sales, the firm announced on Monday. Intel is looking to generate $3.5 billion in revenue from AI-driven products this year. The company said that Habana will continue to operate as an independent business unit.
