Intel CEO Tan tried to make Intel buy Rivos, which he himself led, for financial gains: Report
Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan tried making Intel buy AI chip startup Rivos, of which he was Chairman, to make personal financial gains, Reuters reported. Tan pitched the idea in 2025, but Intel's board rejected it, citing Tan's conflict of interest. Tan then asked his subordinate to pitch a new plan to buy Rivos, before Meta outbid Intel and bought Rivos.
