Intel stock recovers all dot-com era losses after 26 years
Intel's shares surged to intraday highs not seen since the 2000 dot-com era, hitting $70.32 before settling near $68.75 in early afternoon trading on Friday. The shares have jumped 90% this year, approaching the all-time closing high of $74.88 set on August 31, 2000. Dot-com bubble bust was a major stock market crash caused by collapse of overvalued internet-based startups.
