Interfaith couple assaulted in Karnataka’s Hangal; two held

In another suspected case of moral policing in Karnataka, an interfaith couple staying at a lodge in Hangal in Haveri district was attacked by a group of people from a minority community on 8 January. The victims, from different faiths, are residents of Sirsi town in Uttara Kannada. The accused are residents of Hangal, two of them are now arrested.
