The West Bengal government has temporarily suspended internet services in Beldanga and Murshidabad till 6 am on June 14 in a bid to stop rumours and prevent unlawful activities owing to protests over remarks against Prophet Muhammad. This comes a day after internet services were suspended in violence-hit Howrah till June 13 and Section 144 was imposed in several areas.
