Interview mandatory for all minors including newborns for visa: US Embassy

The US Embassy in India said parents applying for US visas for their children cannot attend the consular interview without the child, even if the child is an infant. It clarified that whether newborns or 17-year-olds, all must appear in person at the interview window. "Keeping America's border secure is of utmost importance," the Embassy stated while explaining the move.
