Investor wealth growth in 2025 slowest in seven years

Investor wealth in India grew just 5.4% in 2025, marking the slowest pace in seven years after two years of over 20% gains. Market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms rose by ₹23.8 lakh crore to ₹465.8 lakh crore as of December 18, 2025. In comparison, m-cap had surged 29% in 2023 and 21.3% in 2024.
