Investors lose ₹14 lakh crore as Sensex bleeds amid Middle East war

Sensex tanked over 1,800 points to close at 72,696.39 on Monday, while Nifty dipped over 2%. Investors lost about ₹14 lakh crore in a single session as the overall market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms dropped to ₹415 lakh crore. The dip comes amid the Middle East war, foreign outflows and the rupee nearing the 94 mark against the US dollar.
